Over her 21+ year career Tandiwe Njobe has developed her experience in two key environments – one being a research-based setting to inform policy development and the second – banking – with a focus on corporate and investment banking in Southern & Central Africa.
Tandiwe had over 16 years of experience in Investment Banking on the African continent. In this function she has worked with Deutsche Bank and Standard Bank – heading regional and country teams to deliver the banks’ propositions in those markets.
Prior to banking Tandiwe worked with a global research consulting firm in Boston, Massachusetts (Abt Associates), focusing on economic and social policy development in Southern Africa and the United States.
Tandiwe serves on the Board of Trustees for the Student Sponsorship Program. Starting as a volunteer to the Program in 1999, she later joined the Board of Trustees – serving the organization for over a decade.
Tandiwe holds a Master of Science in Applied Economics from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst (Massachusetts, USA) – a Bachelor’s in Economics from Smith College (Massachusetts, USA) and an International Baccalaureate Diploma from the United World College (Montezuma, New Mexico).
