Early in the year, as our Scholars stepped into the new year with focus and purpose, SSP was proud to kick off the term on an inspiring note at our 2026 Prize-giving Ceremony.

The event was a celebration of academic excellence, resilience, and the remarkable achievements of our Scholars across all grades. It was an opportunity to honour not only outstanding results, but also the dedication, discipline, and growth that continue to define the SSP journey. Building on the momentum of a promising start to 2026, the Prize-giving served as a powerful reminder of the impact that opportunity, support, and hard work can create.

A special highlight of the event was the recognition of ourDux Scholars, who have distinguished themselves through exceptional academic performance at their respective schools:

Grade 8 SSP Dux Scholar:Sabelo Moyo (St John’s College)

Grade 9 SSP Dux Scholar: Aarav Chandermun (St John’s College)

Grade 10 SSP Dux Scholar: Onikayo Gude (Clarendon High School for Girls)

Grade 11 SSP Dux Scholar:Hope Ntuli (St John’s College)

Many of our Dux Scholars further distinguished themselves by going on to secure several of the top subject awards across key disciplines, underscoring the consistency of their performance and the depth of their academic excellence.

We also extend our congratulations to every Scholar who was recognised across the various general and subject award categories. Each award reflects the hard work, perseverance, and commitment our scholars continue to demonstrate in their academic journeys.

We also want to encourage every Scholar who continues to show up, work hard, and give their best each day, even if they were not recognised on this occasion. Progress takes many forms, and every step forward matters. Your effort, resilience, and determination do not go unnoticed, and we remain proud of the growth and potential each of you continue to demonstrate.

As we continue through 2026, we remain inspired by the incredible promise of our young leaders and proud of all they continue to achieve.
