Thandeka joined Student Sponsorship Programme (SSP) in 2012 as a Database Manager and PA to the Executive Director. Thandeka has a strong background of working in the NPO space, specializing in overseeing operational activities at different levels of the organisation. As a result, she has led different roles, such as Human Resources – providing support to the team, developing policies, and running Operational activities. Thandeka’s current role as Mentor Manager, includes recruiting, training, and providing support to Mentors once they are paired with Scholars.
Before joining SSP, Thandeka worked for a youth development agency, then in 2010 joined the African Leadership Academy, providing support to the executive team for 2 years.
Thandeka is passionate about giving back and providing better opportunities. As a result, she spent most of her working career working for NGOs that focus on Education and Youth Development.
Thandeka Skhosana holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science, majoring in Political Science and Sociology and currently completing her Post Diploma in Project Management.
